The amphora is an ancient vessel, but in Martin Döller’s hands it becomes a contemporary instrument of light. Inspired by organic seed pods, the bronze elements can be arranged individually or assembled into expansive chandelier compositions.

Articulated connections allow the elements to change orientation, directing light toward a wall, a table, or a dramatic architectural detail. The object does not simply occupy a room: it changes the way the room is perceived.

The project also offers an alternative to disposable design. Bronze, patina, and reconfigurable construction invite longevity. Amphora suggests that the most persuasive lighting products combine atmosphere, adaptability, and a sense of material permanence.
