Brenda McManus and Ned Drew are partners in life and work at BRED, a New York-area graphic design studio with a special focus on research and design education.
Both have lived in New York for more than 20 years. Their book Drew’s ABCs, a letterpressed limited edition that celebrates the diversity of typography and the imperfections of well-worn letterforms, was named Graphic Design of the Year at the 2018 International Design Awards. The book’s guiding idea is that “we learn to see as we see to learn”.
