Jiayi Che is the designer behind the label Scoliosy, whose work reimagines historical dress.
Her collection Marginalia, a visual narrative moving through Western clothing from the late medieval period to the early Renaissance, was named Fashion Design of the Year at the 2024 International Design Awards. Built around her own “Garden of Earthly Delights”, it presents characters whose ensembles challenge the norms of femininity and historical fashion.
