Vy Bui is a Vietnamese fashion designer who studied at Parsons School of Design in New York.
Her collection Nostalgia, conceived in the summer before she left Vietnam for New York, earned her Emerging Fashion Designer of the Year at the 2024 International Design Awards, alongside Gold in Avant-Garde fashion. Built from her mother’s wardrobe and deadstock fabrics, the collection is a tribute to home, family and the emotions of departure. Bui continually challenges herself to move between conceptual and commercial silhouettes.
