Yulin Peng is an interior designer with Nuage Collection whose work centres on calm, carefully proportioned living spaces.
Her project Island Outpost, a compact pied-à-terre on the outskirts of Hong Kong designed as a retreat for a young couple on business visits, won Bronze in Residential Interior Design at the 2025 International Design Awards. Drawing on the Japanese idea of shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing, Peng shaped the small home around clarity of layout, concealed storage and a cohesive material palette, so that it feels spacious, warm and restorative rather than limited by its footprint.
